The Special Needs Rooms support students with intensive
needs and exceptionalities. Students are integrated within
regular classrooms and specially designed support classes
throughout the day. All students participate in special events,
lunches, spiritual celebrations, assemblies and all student
initiatives and spirit activities. The Department also maintains
an extra-curricular program for specialized group trips, events
and guest presentations.
Taking the individual needs of each student into
consideration, “K” courses are designed to develop the student’s
academic, social, fine and/or gross motor, creativity, and
independence skills. The Special Needs Department is
committed to offering our students a well rounded education,
providing learning opportunities in the: Arts, Languages, Math
and Sciences, Social Sciences, Physical Education, Hospitality,
Woodworking and Co-operative Education fields. The
Department also delivers specialty literacy and numeracy classes.
